I am a Reader (Associate Professor) in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. My interests include:

• Computational models and empirical studies of inductive learning;
• Discovery and re-use of concepts and abstract knowledge by humans and machines;
• Active learning and optimal experimental design;
• Causal inference;
• Transfer learning and generalization;
• Explainable/interpretable computational models;
• Applied machine learning.
